Suzuki started in Japan’s textile industry in 1909, began to produce engines for use on bicycles after WWII. Now Suzuki is one of the most prolific motorcycle manufacturers in the world, with popular models like the Hayabusa and GSX-R sportbikes, SV650 and V-Strom street bikes, Burgman scooters, RM-Z450 and DR-Z400 dirt bikes, M109 and C109 cruisers, along with a sizable arsenal of ATVs and quads. Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited is a subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan wherein they work on the same manufacturing philosophy of VALUE PACKED PRODUCTS. SMIPL manufactures two wheelers best suited for the Indian customers, covering all segments.
Suzuki wanted a website matching its immense presence online – with 1.3 million fans on FB, and wanted to up the traffic on website – sharing engaging information, making search easy, and highlight the brand Suzuki! The brief can be surmised in one short sentence – “Make it an online showroom.”
The website is custom designed. The query patterns and visitor behaviour were analysed alongside a competitive landscape. The pages were conceptualised around UI and keeping the UX high. All information regarding any product, need to connect with the SMIPL team, searching dealer within one’s area or even applying for a dealership was made available in 3 steps or less.
The Homepage – has been designed to show the SMIPL Brand. From latest in news to all about the company, being social media friendly and making it about the product by giving the visitor to request a test ride and find a showroom close by. The homepage is a broad snapshot of the whole website. Each product page has been treated with utmost care, with 360-degree showcase and all information a click away. A sticky side menu makes it easy to navigate further with key message reiteration. The dealer locater has Geolocation giving accurate search results to a visitor. The contact form has been carefully designed to ensure the query is directed to the right department.
