Before the year
signs off

It's been a big year. Budgets for 2027 are taking shape. For a lot of teams, the same question is still sitting on the list: what do we do about VMware, Microsoft and Oracle?

So before everyone switches off for summer, we're taking the conversation out onto the harbour. One evening with a small group of peers, joined by the AWS and SourceFuse experts who work on these modernisation decisions every day.

The re:Invent updates, minus the jet lag.

The announcements that matter for VMware, Microsoft and Oracle workloads, shared over a drink.

Straight answers from AWS.

Talk directly with the AWS team about the programs available for your workloads.

A proper year-end send-off.

Harbour views, dinner and drinks with peers facing the same decisions.

What we'll talk about

Three short conversations, so the evening stays about people, not presentations.

01

VMware

What's next for your estate

Licensing changes have pushed VMware up the agenda for many teams. We'll cover the AWS funding programs available for VMware migrations, and what a realistic move looks like.

02

Microsoft Workloads

Windows and SQL Server

Where Windows and SQL Server costs tend to creep up, and how AWS licensing optimisation programs help teams decide what to keep, change or retire.

03

Oracle Workloads

Modernise on your timeline

Practical options for Oracle databases and applications, also covered under WASO, from staying put on AWS to stepping off licences over time.

The evening

The evening is built around conversation, not presentations. Board with a welcome drink, enjoy dinner as we cruise the harbour, then spend the night talking 2027 plans with peers alongside the AWS and SourceFuse teams. We'll close with a year-end toast before heading back to the wharf.

Boarding time and wharf details will be shared upon your confirmation.

Who should attend?
